This Illustration was an entry for Vice Magazine's G-Shock competition. The challenge was to portray the 'toughness' of G-shock's watches. I decided to portray the watches' survival strength - in this case, a ferocious attack by nature's most dangerous beasts in which the watch remains unscathed.

Last night I went and saw Tycho (the moniker of Scott Hansen, also a graphic designer/artist) live in concert. It was a magical gig - scott's music is amazingly upbeat and melodic, but also dream-like and nostalgic. His design work is equally incredible. In this piece I've tried to capture a similar sense of dreaminess and nostalgia. The photos were taken on a trip to Lake Joseph, Ontario, Canada.
